Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist Team Lead for CFS and Persistent Pain management. You will lead assessments, develop treatment programmes and work within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care.

The role focuses on strategic development, advanced clinical practice and supervision of colleagues, with responsibility for complex cases and service improvement within the ACTIVATE team.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical/Health Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Completion of further postgraduate qualification in clinical supervision, including supervision of trainee clinical psychologists.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a qualified clinical psychologist.
• Experience devising and leading treatment programmes for adults with CFS and/or persistent pain.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of highly specialist psychological assessments for CFS/Persistent Pain using interviews and psychometric methods.
• Lead treatment, advice and management using a range of psychological or biopsychosocial interventions.
• Provide specialist psychological input to patients, families and carers and supervise other team members.
• Lead psycho-educational group programmes for CFS or persistent pain.
• Collaborate with GPwERs, MSK services and local pain services to aid formulation and care planning.
