Lead Clinical Pharmacist - Acute Inpatient Services

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacist to join our well-established clinical pharmacy team and help provide excellent care to patients in the inpatient mental health services at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. This will be a job-share with the existing lead pharmacist.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work across the inpatient wards supporting the development of both the service, and the junior pharmacists who provide day to day clinical services to the area. You will develop and deliver excellent pharmaceutical services to patients with a wide range of often complex medical problems. You will participate in ward rounds, provide expert medicines advice to staff and patients, review medication incidents and develop clinical guidelines. You will perform a pivotal role in the provision of education and training to the multi-disciplinary team and ensure key governance and medicines management priorities are met.

Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team whilst also managing your own workload. You must be dynamic, resilient, and be able to manage and motivate others. You will have the ability to influence the multidisciplinary team and engage with key stakeholders.

You will be supported in your own professional development, including developing your leadership skills. Successful candidates will take part in the on-call and Bank Holiday rotas.

The role will be based at Airedale Centre for Mental Health, with travel between Airedale and Lynfield Mount Hospital. 15 hours to be split over 2 days
