Southern Water's Falmer-based Senior Engineer role leads a skilled design team delivering water and wastewater projects. You will provide technical leadership, guide project delivery, and manage both performance and value across schemes with a focus on safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to present complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water/Wastewater Infrastructure and Civil Engineering.
• Excellent communicator, presenting and articulating technical ideas to both technical experts and lay people.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues with proactive initiative.

Responsibilities

• As a leader of the team, you will have a clear understanding the roles within the team and working co-operatively with other teams to achieve business aims.
• The role requires strong critical thinking and empowerment to make decisions and drive resolutions.
• You will be solutions focused and excellent in identifying and resolving complex engineering issues, with proactive initiative.
• Develop and maintain projects in accordance with corporate health, safety, environment and quality standards, providing technical guidance and leadership to the project team.
• Liaise with stakeholders, negotiating and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
