Zusammenfassung

WSP is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for its Liveable Places team, based from Westferry Circus (Canary Wharf) with flexible hybrid working. You will lead the technical delivery of flagship highways and public realm projects across London.

You will oversee design of high-quality highways, active travel and public realm schemes, shaping streets to be safer, greener and more inclusive, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering public realm and active travel schemes in complex urban environments, particularly London.
• Strong background in UK highways and public realm detailed design.
• Familiarity with MfS, DMRB, TSRGD and LTN guidance.
• Commitment to design quality and collaborative delivery.
• Proven ability to manage programmes, budgets and financial reporting across multiple live projects.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with strong communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead delivery of multiple sustainable transport and public realm projects from concept through to on-site implementation.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across highways and public realm schemes.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design packages (Lighting, Electrical, HV mitigation, Structures, SuDS).
• Coordinate with Principal Contractor during design development and site supervision.
• Review/approve designs, reports and deliverables from project teams and partners.
• Ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates.
• Support framework opportunities, fee proposals and bid submissions; identify repeat-work opportunities.
