Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design for building developments. You will own delivery, coordinate design teams, and drive QA to meet project objectives and regulatory standards.

You will manage drainage, levels, and external works packages, liaise with clients, and progress projects from early design to construction, shaping sustainable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE, or working toward chartership.
• Strong experience in civil engineering design for building developments.
• Experience delivering drainage (surface and foul), levels, and highways/external works design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D, and collaborative platforms.
• Experience leading project delivery, including QA and coordination.
• Interested in contributing to technical standards and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring technical quality and client outcomes.
• Coordinate design teams, attend project meetings and align designs with objectives.
• Develop and manage civil design packages (drainage, levels, external works) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage client relationships and progress projects from early design through approvals and construction.
