Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is assisting a Birmingham local authority in recruiting a Senior Practitioner for the Child in Care Team. You will lead a team of social workers, deliver effective interventions, and safeguard vulnerable children.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conducting complex assessments and developing detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure collaborative approaches to care.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
• Participating in court proceedings and representing the local authority in legal matters related to child welfare.
