Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist to lead paediatric psychological work within the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service. You will conduct assessments, develop formulations and deliver interventions for children and young people.

You will contribute to training, supervision and service development, with supervision from a senior psychologist and opportunities to influence practice and policy within the trust.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical psychologist with experience in paediatric mental health.
• Experience in psychological assessment, formulation and brief/long-term interventions with children and young people.
• Experience providing supervision and consultancy within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people.
• Offer consultation and supervision on psychological care to colleagues and carers.
• Work autonomously within guidelines and contribute to governance and policy development.
• Use doctoral level research skills for audit, service development and research; supervise trainee psychologists.
