Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) is seeking an experienced HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to join a busy Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service in Fylde and Wyre.

You will take a clinical lead role in psychological assessment, formulation and intervention with children and young people, contributing to service development and supervising trainees. Regular supervision and peer support are provided.

Qualifications

Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct therapies and lifespan development psychology, as accredited by the BPS.
Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).

Responsibilities

To ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people with mental health needs.
To offer advice, consultation and supervision on psychological care to psychology colleagues, non-psychology colleagues and carers.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and governance of psychological practice; propose and implement policy changes.
To use doctoral-level research skills for audit, policy, service development and supervise trainee/assistant psychologists' research.
