Job summary

RA GroupCompass Group UK&I is seeking a Head Chef in Slough to lead a busy catering operation with a Monday–Friday schedule. The role focuses on exceptional food quality, customer experience, and operational excellence, with a hands-on leadership style and strong GP, stock, and purchasing controls.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with ability to inspire and develop a kitchen team.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality food standards in a busy commercial catering environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, health and safety and all relevant compliance requirements.
• Experience in contract catering, workplace catering or high-volume hospitality environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team, creating a positive culture and driving performance.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and safety across operations.
• Take full ownership of the kitchen, including GP performance, stock and purchasing controls.
