Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Aldridge, West Midlands, seeks a warm, enthusiastic Head Chef to lead a culinary team in delivering nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals for residents.

You will manage budgets, supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with IDDSI dietary guidelines, while training junior staff and maintaining standards across our care homes.

The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities to develop professionally within a growing network of over 100 homes.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience leading a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors.
• Relevant catering qualification City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ.
• Demonstrate ability to control a budget and deliver high-quality culinary standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a culinary team to deliver nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals within budget.
• Prepare modified diets that look appealing and are in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers and maintain stock levels within budget.
• Supervise kitchen staff and Host team, instructing and developing unqualified staff.
