Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced practitioner to lead nursing care from admission to discharge, manage ward staff and learners, and drive evidence-based, patient-centred care across a varied caseload.

You will ensure care aligns with Trust policies, use clinical audit and teaching to improve standards, and lead on staffing, appraisals, recruitment, and coordinating daily work while safeguarding resources.

Qualifications

• Expert in assessment, planning and implementation of nursing care.
• Experience managing ward/unit staff including appraisals and rota planning.
• Supervision of learners and leadership of nursing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality, patient-centred care across a varied caseload.
• Assess and manage patients with changing and complex needs and evaluate care programmes.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with Trust policies and maintains records.
• Monitor standards through clinical audits, teaching and supervision.
