Job description

£13.60 per hour

One vacancy for 30 hours per week

This role is where it all starts. You will report to and work with the Bistro and Catering Manager (BCM) developing recipes within the Village to meet the dietary requirements of our residents.

Delivering high-quality meals is essential to our residents as this could be one of their highlights of the day. You will need to ensure that all meals are wholesome, nutritional, flavoursome, and appetising to encourage residents to enjoy their home-cooked meals. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring health, safety, and food hygiene procedures for the household catering are followed in line with environmental health and H&S regulations, as well as Belong policies and procedures.
  • Completing all household HACCP records.
  • Preventing malnutrition and dehydration by following best practice guidelines and dietician advice.
  • Monitoring service standards throughout the household kitchens to ensure quality.
  • Undertaking performance reviews and supervisions for Hosts.
  • Having knowledge of SALT and dysphasia is essential.

You will have a passion for food, creativity, drive, and a commitment to delivering high standards. You should be able to train, develop, encourage, and support your team. Following all health and safety guidelines is crucial to ensure your department is well-led and safe. Level 2/3 Catering qualifications are desirable.
