We are seeking a skilled individual to provide technical support for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) project. Working within the Capability Team, you will support FCAS Concepting, Assessment, and Technology Portfolio efforts.
Your responsibilities will include aligning FCAS requirements with technical capabilities across Leonardo UK and industry partners, identifying capability gaps, proposing solutions, and supporting certification processes.
The role involves liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders within the organization and externally, including MoD, Dstl, and FCAS industry partners.
Leonardo offers a flexible working environment, allowing the role to be based at any UK site with occasional UK and international travel.
Key Responsibilities as a Capability Engineer
Candidate Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience in the defence industry, with a proven ability to build relationships with project stakeholders across government and industry. Experience in early-stage concepting or technology development is beneficial. Knowledge of sensor and communication system testing and evaluation is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop optimal solutions is essential.
