Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a Cable Project Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Scotland. You will apply cabling system design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from defined tenders to construction and commissioning.

You will review designs, undertake current-rating calculations, support site teams, and ensure CDM/HSE compliance while coordinating with Engineering and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable technical skills in cable system design and verification.
• Understanding of legislation affecting transmission assets and projects including CDM and ESQCR.

Responsibilities

• Lead cable system design and review across projects.
• Review prequalification and type testing reports for client approval.
• Support site teams to ensure installation quality and cable commissioning.
• Promote safety and CDM compliance on projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Project Managers to mitigate risks.
