Job summary

Addition is hiring a Lead Business Architect in London to shape enterprise architecture for Institutional Trading and Prime Brokerage. You will bridge commercial strategy with delivery, defining future operating models and end-to-end processes across a high-impact trading environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Technology and Operations to translate priorities into scalable solutions, lead complex transformation programs, and drive improvements in efficiency and controls.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in capital markets, investment banking or institutional trading environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Institutional Trading and Prime Brokerage, including front-to-back trading lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of execution, clearing, margin, collateral, financing, settlement and custody.
• Proven experience defining target operating models, business capabilities, functional architecture and end-to-end processes.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, structured architectural solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience across Product, Technology and Operations.
• Hands-on approach to architecture with a track record of delivering real business and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and development of business architecture across Institutional Trading and Prime Brokerage.
• Defining future-state business capabilities, operating models and functional architecture to support strategic transformation.
• Designing and improving end-to-end trading processes, from execution and clearing through to settlement and custody.
• Shaping functional solutions across margin, collateral management, financing and post-trade operations.
• Partnering with Product, Technology and Operations teams to translate business priorities into practical, scalable solutions.
• Providing architectural direction across complex transformation programmes, ensuring solutions are commercially focused and deliverable.
• Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve operational efficiency and strengthen trading capabilities.
