Job summary

Lightspeed seeks a Lead Business Analyst, Process & Automation to own end-to-end projects across the Capital and Payments team. You’ll map, diagnose, design and implement improvements with automation, data, tooling, and AI-driven workflows.

You’ll coordinate with stakeholders, run pilots, and drive adoption, with a focus on measurable outcomes and a strong analytical approach to unlock efficiency and scale across payments, lending, underwriting, risk, and billing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business analysis, process improvement, operations, or related roles.
• Proven track record leading complex cross-functional projects from problem definition to outcomes.
• Experience using data, queries, and dashboards to validate problems and prove outcomes.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business needs into clear requirements and delivery plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Extensive experience in financial services, fintech, payments, lending, or insurance is a plus.
• Experience evaluating or deploying AI-enabled solutions in operations.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end processes, map flows, and understand how processes run in practice.
• Diagnose root causes, quantify time/money/customer impact, and design improvements.
• Translate findings into clear requirements, better flows, and delivery plans with measurable success criteria.
• Build or coordinate automation, tooling, data, and controls the teams depend on.
• Lead testing, launch readiness, measure impact, drive adoption, and hand ownership back.
• Establish how AI agents are used in operations with bounded, multi-step workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and translate findings into business cases for Product/Tech.
