Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join the IT and Digital team in Bristol, supporting the GCAP programme. You will lead a small team, manage stakeholders, and ensure business needs are analysed and reflected in solution guidance.

International travel is possible and the role is hybrid with three days on-site. The position requires experience as a Lead/Principal BA, preferably in defence or aerospace, with strong stakeholder management and end-to-end project lifecycle expertise.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Lead Business Analyst / Principal BA role ideally from a defence, aerospace, secure technology, critical infrastructure, or other complex engineering environments.
• Background in consultancy would be suited to this role.
• Large transformation programme/ project exposure/ experience.
• Leadership experience of a small team.
• Strong Stakeholder Management capabilities at all levels.
• Experience of all stages within the project life cycle, preferably with waterfall and Agile approaches.
• Process modelling ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ using different modelling techniques.
• Knowledge of Engineering and/or Manufacturing Processes.
• Break down epics into user stories and deliver outcome focused solutions.
• Requirements gathering, management and traceability.
• Representing the Voice of the Customer in the Project Team.

• Manage and influence stakeholders at all levels as a trusted advisor.
• Capture and manage business requirements with traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Model AS-IS processes and design TO-BE options with business SMEs.
• Evolve process models to meet business needs.
• Analyse the vision and scope of new projects, services and software.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
• Measure and record benefits of deployed methods and tools.
