Qualifications

  • Expérience substantielle en analyse d'affaires, de préférence avec un rôle de leadership.
  • Connaissance du trading de gaz et plateformes de trading.
  • Capacité à travailler au bureau de Londres au moins deux fois par semaine.

What’s the role

As Lead Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to grow into an active thought partner and solution visionary, shaping the technology demand and direction within the business community.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of clients and stakeholders, helping to determine feasible solutions to meet those needs or resolve problems.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Precisely capturing business problems, value drivers, and requirements, including considerations for health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability.
  • Translating business requirements into functionality, assessing risks, feasibility, opportunities, and impacts of solutions.
  • Assessing and modeling processes, data flows, and technology to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating clear documentation to communicate requirements, keeping it updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements from needs through testing and scope changes to the final solution.
  • Interacting with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand limitations and ensure requirements are met.
  • Creating acceptance criteria and validating solutions through testing.
  • Developing and presenting business cases to justify solutions and secure approval and funding.
  • Managing Business Analysis activities within project constraints of cost, time, and quality.
  • Supporting other Business Analysts to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Staying informed on relevant architecture and technologies, researching solutions, and guiding interactions with vendors.
  • Leading stakeholder management and facilitating design sessions.
  • Building strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Supporting strategic goals by proposing improvements and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Championing the development of Business Analysis capabilities within Shell, promoting best practices and community building.
  • Leading a team of BAs with line management responsibilities.

What you bring

  • Substantial experience, preferably with leadership background.
  • Ability to work in the Shell London office at least twice a week.
  • Experience in Business Analysis on a Trading platform, specifically in Gas Trading.
  • Knowledge of Commodity Trading, especially Gas Trading.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like VSTS.
  • Understanding of systems engineering, data, and process analysis.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in cost/benefit analysis and business case development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
