The Company We’re working with a forward-thinking consultancy that specialises in delivering impactful software solutions across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join their team in Nottingham. This is a full-time hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home and visit client sites when needed. The Role As Lead Business Analyst, you’ll take ownership of shaping digital solutions for clients by working closely with stakeholders to deeply understand their business needs. You’ll be the bridge between the client and the technical delivery team — turning requirements into tangible solutions that drive real outcomes. This role is particularly focused on software applications, and you’ll often be involved in discovery sessions, vendor engagement, solution design, and pricing work. You’ll also: * Work directly with clients to capture, analyse, and refine requirements * Translate business needs into clear documentation (e.g., user stories, functional specs) * Engage with third-party vendors and internal teams to validate technical feasibility and costings * Lead workshops, demos, and solution walkthroughs * Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners throughout the project lifecycle * Stay hands-on through delivery, ensuring the end product meets the original requirements What You’ll Need * Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a lead or senior capacity * Strong background working with software applications and platforms * Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from end users to C-suite * Experience working with software development teams (Agile or hybrid environments preferred) * Comfortable managing vendors, obtaining quotes, and feeding into pricing proposals * Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills * Any technical understanding or previous involvement in software development projects is a big plus Desirable * Experience with CRM or ERP systems * Exposure to digital transformation or complex enterprise-level solutions * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally If you're a Lead BA who enjoys working closely with clients to shape innovative digital solutions — and you're looking for a role with autonomy, impact, and variety — we'd love to hear from you
