Who we are

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, helping 20 million businesses and individuals access seamless payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools each month.

As Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, we power most of the country’s point-of-sale (POS) transactions. Through our subsidiaries, Moniepoint Inc. processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually.

About the role

At Moniepoint, as an Analytics Manager, you will use data to make better decisions, faster for the business. You will own metrics, measurement, experimentation and the analysis/data roadmap for a business area. You’ll use data to quantify business KPIs and conduct analyses to uncover unknowns, helping the business unit achieve its goals for acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, and revenue. As a leader of the business unit, the role sits at the intersection of product management, data engineering, and growth.

Drive the generation of actionable insights from data to support various business functions, including product, operations, marketing and engineering. What is our actual CAC per channel? Which customer segments are more/less engaged? What are our customers’ share of wallet - how can we use this? What is the typical behaviour of a Moniepoint consumer? What products cause the biggest incremental engagement?
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with growth, product, and engineering managers to ensure we collect the right data for meaningful business insights. Bring data leadership and rigour to our approach to product development. Build a strategic understanding of the business and structure complex projects to bring them to life.

Business: Growth

  • Define the product's growth plan and lead execution across the entire funnel from acquisition through to monetisation and retention
  • Own and optimise specific business metrics or commercial goals, covering the entire funnel from new user acquisition through conversion, activation, retention, and expansion
  • Perform detailed product analysis covering the product management funnel with all its aspects, implementing changes into the buying funnel to improve conversion
  • Design and execute A/B testing programs to optimise sales and conversion rates/adoption at each funnel stage
  • Lead testing and optimisation efforts for the conversion funnel across offline and online channels, prioritising tests that drive the biggest business impact
  • Improve the product's design and deploy experiments to improve lifetime value (LTV) and decrease churn

Technical: Data & Analytics

  • Use deep, flexible, and comprehensive analytics covering the entire funnel from marketing acquisition to product usage
  • Analyse user behaviour to improve the sales funnel and increase conversions, using advanced analytics to assess campaign performance and refine strategies
  • Define and track growth metrics including customer acquisition cost (CAC), activation rate, retention rate, payback time, and revenue per customer
  • Conduct cohort analysis and journey mapping to identify bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities
