About the role:

We are seeking a Lead BSA Advisor to head up a brand-new department within a growing consultancy. This senior appointment will give the successful candidate the chance to establish themselves as the Lead BSA Advisor, taking ownership of Building Safety Act services, advising clients, and shaping a team around them.

As the Lead BSA Advisor, you'll not only deliver technical excellence in compliance and safety but also drive strategy, growth, and client engagement. This is a career-defining opportunity to build a service line from the ground up, backed by a supportive consultancy with ambitious plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the Lead BSA Advisor, managing all Building Safety Act compliance services for clients.
  • Provide expert advice on gateways, safety cases, golden thread information, and building safety management plans.
  • Establish and grow a team of BSA Advisors, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
  • Lead client relationships, fee proposals, and business development to cement the department's success.
  • Collaborate with directors and other service leads to integrate BSA expertise across the consultancy.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and related regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience advising on building safety compliance, preferably across multiple sectors.
  • Chartered or senior-level membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH, CABE, RICS, CIOB).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, motivate, and grow a team.
  • Strong client-facing and business development skills, with commercial awareness.
