Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a Senior Engineer (Structures) to lead the structures team on bridges and capital schemes. Based in Pullar House, Perth, with hybrid working, the role combines senior technical leadership, project management and staff development across the council's infrastructure portfolio.

You will require Chartered status, extensive bridges/structures experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Chartered status with a relevant professional body (ICE or IStructE).
• Proven experience delivering complex civil/structural/bridge projects.
• Strong communication and leadership within a regulated public sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex capital schemes, providing expert engineering judgement.
• Manage consultants and contractors, overseeing budgets and programme delivery.
• Line manage and develop engineers and provide technical oversight to technicians.
