Job summary

VIGO Recruitment is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer based in Leeds to oversee commissioning across Yorkshire. You will own the commissioning process, coordinate with project managers and clients, and ensure on-time delivery of Trend and Tridium-based systems.

The role requires strong BMS experience, be able to work independently, and deliver high-quality documentation. Excellent development opportunities and a clear progression path are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong BMS commissioning experience.
• Good Trend experience.
• Good Tridium / Niagara experience.
• Experience commissioning projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Good understanding of BMS control strategies.
• Strong technical knowledge of building controls.
• Confidence working directly with clients and other stakeholders.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload across projects across Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Take BMS projects through the commissioning process from start to finish.
• Commissioning Trend and Tridium control systems.
• Functional testing of BMS components and related systems.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues on site.
• Review system operation against design specifications and control strategies.
• Work with Project Managers to deliver projects to programme.
• Coordinate with other trades during commissioning.
• Act as technical point of contact for clients on site.
• Produce accurate commissioning documentation and reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance as required.
• Ensure completed systems operate to project specifications.
