Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a BIM Level 2 environment, ideally in a building services or MEP role.
  • Proficient in Revit and key Autodesk products.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and COBie standards.

We are looking for a Lead BIM Technician to join our growing RCDC team. If you are an experienced BIM coordinator, keen to work in an exciting, innovating company, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of BIM models and CAD drawings across all stages of design from RIBA Stage 2 to Stage 4i
  • Oversee and produce detailed and well-coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit
  • Create processes, families, model workflows and templates for both 2D and 3D drawings
  • Oversee the continued organisational transition to BIM Level 2
  • Facilitate training and mentoring of junior/non-specialist staff in Revit
  • Work closely with the engineering team to produce 2D & 3D designs in Autodesk Software Packages.
  • Manage projects and models hosted on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Work closely with in-house software developer to incorporate REVIT work flows into our in-house software, develop BIM information hierarchy and develop digitalisation tools.
  • Liaising with, and management of, external design clients & stakeholders to ensure external requirements are met,

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working in a BIM Level 2 environment, ideally in a building services or MEP-focused role,
  • Proficient in Revit and other key Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Navisworks and BIM Collaborate Pro; familiarity with Grasshopper and Bluebeam is a plus,
  • Experienced in using Autodesk Construction Cloud,
  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650, COBie standards, and other BIM documentation practices,
  • Proficient in model coordination, clash detection, quality assurance,
  • Experience of multidisciplinary coordination and proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines,
  • Flexible mindset - able to adapt to continually changing requirements,
  • Highly IT literate and able to use Word, Excel and Powerpoint to high levels,
  • Excellent verbal and written abilities,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Interest in sustainability, digital innovation and social value.
