Daily rate: $500 – $700

My client is looking for 2 Lead Backend Engineers to join an exciting new project initially for 3 – 6 months. This role is fully remote but you will be required to work either US or EMEA time zones, not both.

Role:

• Develop enterprise-level WordPress plugins and/or themes primarily using PHP and Gutenberg blocks.
• Drive strategy in collaboration with experts across multiple disciplines, and lead overall technical vision and delivery on large-scale projects.
• Engage meaningfully with clients; leading demos and driving discussions.
• Contribute to the improvement of the Engineering discipline by leading and mentoring other engineers.
• Make the web better by crafting websites, apps, and tools that reach millions of online visitors daily.

About you:

• Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects, capable of leading a team of senior engineers and managing multiple stakeholders to find simple yet elegant solutions.
• Expert skills in WordPress engineering with PHP, Gutenberg, following best practices and maintaining high standards.
• Possess a code portfolio; share your best WordPress work on GitHub for easy assessment without live coding tests.
• Ability to debug performance and caching issues across environments.
• Prefer fully remote work and engaging effectively with distributed teams from any location.
