Encord is hiring for a backend-focused engineer to join Foundations in London. You’ll redesign core infrastructure and build high-performance data systems for multimodal AI data, spanning video, images, 3D sensor data and documents.

You’ll own end-to-end projects, from design to deployment, and drive architectural decisions that keep systems fast and reliable as demand grows. Join a fast-scaling team backed by Series C funding, with a strong emphasis on ownership, deep systems work, and

Qualificações

• Fluency in Python and Typescript with strong backend experience.
• Solid grounding in distributed systems concepts and CS fundamentals.
• Experience owning services in production and improving quality via reviews and monitoring.
• Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant data systems at scale.

Responsabilidades

• Own significant projects in data systems end to end: design, architecture, deployment and monitoring.
• Build distributed systems that remain fast and correct under load.
• Shape performant protocols and APIs that customers build on top of.
• Find simple solutions to complex domains at scale and promote good engineering practices.
• Raise the bar through code reviews, pairing and sharing knowledge.
