Job summary

ALECTO RECRUITMENT LTD in Swindon is seeking a Lead Audio Visual Technician to manage UK-wide AV installations, onsite surveys, and client-facing delivery for national projects. You’ll lead on-site crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure high-quality commissioning and aftercare for prestigious brands in automotive and retail sectors.

A strong AV background and travel willingness are essential, with extensive problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing professional AV systems.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Solid understanding of LCD/LED displays, video over IP, conferencing, and audio control.
• Networking and IP-based AV fault-finding expertise.
• Experience with Crestron, Q-SYS or BiAmp is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead AV installations UK-wide from first fix to commissioning.
• Conduct site surveys, assess needs, and scope resources.
• Coordinate with in-house teams and subcontractors as crew leader.
• Provide audio/lighting programming support and post-install servicing.
• Brief partners, manage risk, and make on-site decisions.
• Support onboarding of new engineers and subcontractors.
• Deliver service visits aligned with SLAs and high-profile clients.
