Lead Automation Engineer

Due to success and growth, we are now recruiting for a Lead Automation Engineer to join our team in Southampton. The Lead Automation Engineer will report to the Technical Services Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Equipment Selection and Purchasing
2. Definition of control system documentation (FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT)
3. Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports, and other paperwork
4. Configuration and programming of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems, including Mitsubishi (A, FX, and Q range) and Mitsubishi HMIs (Beijer). Experience with telemetry outstations such as Serck PX24, Schneider Talus T4e, and Seprol S2000 is desirable but not essential.

Skills / Background:

1. Experience as an Automation Engineer
2. Client-facing with excellent interpersonal skills
3. Hardworking and self-motivated
4. Hands-on electrical skills/qualifications are desirable but not essential
5. Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
6. Onsite fault finding and modification of electrical control systems is desirable but not essential
