Job description

Title: Lead Auditor

Location: North East England (Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham, Stockton, Leeds) – REMOTE

Duration: Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Our client, a leading global inspection, verification, testing, and certification company, is seeking a Lead Auditor to cover the North East England region. The role is based in or around Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham, Stockton, or Leeds.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and conduct professional management system audits.
  2. Deliver assessment and certification services that meet client requirements and accreditation standards.
  3. Provide accurate and timely reports to support operational planning and management.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  5. Maintain updated training records and personal logs to sustain auditor registrations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience as a Lead Auditor with a strong certification background, with industry experience in at least two or three sectors such as Oil & Gas, Heavy Manufacturing, Construction, Transport, Pulp & Paper, Coke and Petroleum, Food, Textile, Plastic, Rubber, Motor Vehicles/Trains, Recycling, or Architectural.
  2. Proficiency in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  3. Possession of NEBOSH General Certificate or Level 6 Diploma.
  4. Experience in roles responsible for Quality, Health & Safety, and/or Environmental Management Systems.
  5. Strong knowledge of management system standards, compliance, and auditing techniques.
