Job summary

W Talent is recruiting an Audit Manager in Wakefield to lead the audit and assurance team, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors. You will work closely with directors and fieldwork teams, delivering high‑quality audits on time and within standards.

Applicants should be ACA or ACCA qualified with UK practice experience, strong client relationships, excellent communication and the ability to coach junior staff. Competitive £50,000–£55,000 plus benefits and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience leading audit portfolios and teams.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Excellent client relationship management.
• Ability to manage deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing portfolio of audit clients across sectors.
• Lead the delivery of high‑quality audit assignments within timelines and budgets.
• Plan audits, assess risks and develop tailored programmes with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all audit work complies with regulatory and professional standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent service.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Support continuous improvement of audit processes and quality standards.
• Collaborate with directors on business development and growth opportunities.
