Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the Aseptic Services team. You will assist in the provision of chemotherapy aseptics, support supervision, and help maintain GMP standards while working closely with pharmacists and ward staff.

You should have recent hospital aseptic experience, strong communication skills, and be eligible for GPhC registration. The role offers a full‑time schedule in London with training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 qualification is required.
• Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC by start date.
• ACPT and/or PAAP accreditation are required.

Responsibilities

• To assist and supervise the provision of a chemotherapy aseptic service and ensure the safe, accurate provision of supportive medication.
• To support the roles of and work under the supervision of the Chief Technician & Accountable Pharmacist.
• Maintain GMP and ensure adherence to SOPs and QA documentation.
• Liaise with pharmacists, production staff and ward staff daily to regulate and manage workflow.
• Participate in Pharmacy Team meetings and problem-solve stock, staffing and equipment issues.
• Contribute to capacity planning while maintaining day-to-day service.
