Lead Architectural Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and technical delivery of architectural projects from concept to completion
  • Prepare and coordinate building control submissions in line with statutory codes
  • Apply fire regulations and building control compliance to all project stages
  • Assess and integrate conservation-led strategies for historic buildings and restoration
  • Design and implement retrofit and upgrade schemes to improve building performance
  • Conduct thermal performance assessments and U-value calculations
  • Specify and coordinate architectural materials and building cladding systems
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities

The Ideal Person:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in architectural technology with design leadership responsibilities
  • Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field
  • Proficiency in building control compliance and fire regulation applications
  • Experience with historic building methods and retrofit strategies
  • Strong technical skills in thermal performance analysis and material detailing
  • Advanced user of Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and project management capabilities
