Responsibilities:

1. Engage with customers during various phases of the sales cycle to understand their specific design requirements and provide solutions.
2. Design and develop bespoke fluid handling products in collaboration with the product manager, aligned with product line strategy.
3. Lead design validation and qualification testing, plan R&D efforts, and manage subcontracted resources.
4. Work closely with internal and customer engineers/technical teams to optimize material and design elements for sealing conditions, including lubricant, materials, fluid level, shaft and housing hardness, surface finish, tolerance, chamfer, eccentricity, etc.
5. Collaborate with R&D team to develop new materials and formulations.
6. Conduct design validation activities such as stress calculations, tolerance analysis, FEA, CFD, etc.
7. Support sales and marketing with product presentations and communications via webinars or customer visits.
8. Manage all aspects of product lifecycle, including feedback and requirements from customers and factory teams.
9. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
10. This role may require travel within the UK and Romania.
11. Perform any additional tasks as reasonably requested by the line manager.
