Forward Role is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer in Manchester with hybrid working (mostly remote, occasional office visits). You will lead data modelling within a Lakehouse environment, owning the curated data layer and building robust, governed models for analytics and reporting across the business.

The role demands expert SQL, PySpark, and experience with Power BI, Databricks, and Dimensional modelling.

• Depth in dimensional modelling and semantic layers.
• Hybrid data modelling and data engineering experience.
• Expert SQL and PySpark proficiency.
• Experience with Power BI and building models.
• Databricks and Lakehouse architecture experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of curated analytics-ready dimensional models.
• Own KPI definitions and conformed dimensions.
• Build and maintain SQL and PySpark pipelines on Databricks.
• Shape models to support Power BI reporting.
• Partner with Analysts, Architects, Engineers and stakeholders.
• Lead modelling design reviews and architectural decisions.
• Ensure data quality, testing, observability and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to others.
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing and governance standards.
