Job summary

Cleo, the AI financial assistant, is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer for a six‑month FTC to own architecture and modelling for People data. You will partner with People systems, data platform, security, and privacy teams to turn source data into trusted datasets for leadership analytics.

You’ll set model boundaries, drive governance, and ensure secure, auditable access while maintaining history and performance.

Qualifications

• > Significant production Analytics Engineering experience with technical leadership.
• < Expert SQL and dbt across source, staging, mart, and semantic layers.
• < Experience making architectural decisions on grain, history, slowly changing dimensions, and model contracts.
• < Experience leading a source-system migration or cutover while preserving history and data quality.
• < Strong data security and governance experience: named access, least privilege, masking, auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement trusted data models for HR-related domains (ATS/HiBob, Ashby) and talent data.
• Strengthen the core employee model to represent employees, roles, teams, managers, and changes over time.
• Integrate engagement and survey data into the People data foundation with reusable patterns.
• Define model boundaries, grain, naming, tests, documentation, and data contracts across People domain.
• Identify and resolve duplicate or conflicting People models without breaking downstream usage.
• Design a secure architecture for compensation and sensitive fields with masked outputs.
• Build a data access-audit layer to attribute queries to identities and alert owners of risks.
• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Finance, and business owners to agree access rules and controls.
• Create governed workforce measures and datasets for leadership reporting using native HR systems.
