Job summary

GMCA is seeking a Lead Analyst in Manchester to join the research team. The role focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis, evaluation, and informing economic policy within GMCA’s Economy, Innovation, Culture and International Directorate.

You will analyse data on Greater Manchester’s economy, develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and contribute to the delivery of the Greater Manchester Strategy. Interviews are in person in Manchester during w/c 23 November.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing data on the Greater Manchester economy to inform long-term policy development and short-term requests for information
• Supporting the development of economic policy through literature reviews, logic models, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for new initiatives
• Designing and, in some cases, delivering the evaluation of new models of business support
• Using commercially available data sources (such as Beauhurst, Datacity and CoStar) to help understand Greater Manchester’s economy
• Working with our innovation team to use data and evidence to build understanding of innovation among businesses across the city region
• Supporting our international team with the evidence and analysis needed for mayoral missions, such as the recent India trade mission
