Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment is seeking an AML Manager for its client, a well-established law firm, to lead and develop the AML function within the Quality & Risk team in Bristol with hybrid working. You will drive improvements, oversee policies and controls, and provide expert guidance on complex client due diligence including sanctions and PEPs.

Qualifications

• Strong AML and client due diligence experience, ideally in law or financial services.
• Experience leading an AML function and developing a team.
• Knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Able to handle complex CDD matters and escalate when needed.
• Degree-level qualification; AML qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client and matter inception and centralised AML processes.
• Manage Work Acceptance Team and drive performance.
• Oversee AML policies, processes and controls.
• Provide guidance on complex due diligence including sanctions/PEPs.
• Maintain data quality, reporting and auditing.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Manage third-party AML screening and identity verification systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements across AML.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and training materials.
• Collaborate with fee-earners for compliant onboarding.
• Based in Bristol with regional travel.
