Job summary

DataCamp seeks a seasoned engineer to build and evolve the core AI tutoring system, delivering real-time adaptive behaviors and robust prompt architectures. You will run rigorous experiments, measure learning outcomes, and translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions across platform and content pipelines.

You’ll collaborate with educators, content creators, and product teams, prototype novel model interactions, and ensure safety, observability, and quality in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building complex LLM-based systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and architectures.
• Fluent in Python and production infrastructure experience.
• Active follow-up on AI research and capabilities.
• Translate pedagogical goals into system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the core AI tutoring system, including prompt architectures and real-time adaptive behaviors.
• Run rigorous experiments and evaluation with custom metrics.
• Design and implement scalable software integrating AI with platforms and content pipelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with educators, content creators, and product teams.
• Prototype and productionize novel model interactions leveraging new research.
• Ensure quality, safety, and observability through monitoring and guardrails.
• Share knowledge and elevate teammates within the team.
