Job summary

Graham Capital Management, L.P. seeks an AI/ML Quantitative Research Manager to lead AI/ML research for quantitative trading strategies.

You will report to the CIO of Quantitative Strategies and shape the research agenda, building production-grade models that ingest large data sets to generate tradable signals that complement existing signals. You will collaborate with data science, technology, trading, and operations to implement ideas, ensure robustness, and communicate findings to management

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., CS, ML, Stats)
• 7+ years of hands-on AI/ML research and deployment in a quantitative/data-science setting
• Strong understanding of systematic trading concepts; financial experience is desirable but secondary to AI expertise
• Demonstrated AI/ML research output (publications, talks)
• Advanced programming in languages suited for quantitative research and strategy implementation
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear verbal and written commentary
• Exposure to securities/derivatives markets and mid-to-low frequency systematic strategies (preferred)
• Experience leading a team of quantitative researchers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Shape the long-term AI/ML research roadmap with the CIO-Quantitative Strategies
• Prototype and develop production-grade AI/ML models using large data sets
• Collaborate across departments to implement and monitor AI/ML ideas in trading systems
• Ensure models are robust, scalable, and compliant
• Produce white papers and presentations for internal and external audiences
• Present findings to management and investment committees
• Lead and mentor junior researchers on projects
• Complete other strategic initiatives as directed by senior management
