GlobalData Healthcare is building an AI-enabled competitive intelligence platform for the pharmaceutical sector, with a Birmingham-based team developing AI capabilities on AWS using Python and PostgreSQL. You will lead AI/ML features, draft workflows, and drive production-ready services from pilots to deployment.

The role requires hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, and AWS AI services, and you will mentor colleagues while ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.

Qualificações

• 2+ years delivering LLM/ML in production, not just prototypes.
• Strong Python and good SQL/relational DBs knowledge.
• Solid understanding of model evaluation and when to opt for simpler approaches.
• Experience with retrieval, embeddings and unstructured text.
• Hands-on with AWS AI services, esp. Bedrock and SageMaker.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and run AI/ML features in production, including LLM workflows.
• Define measurement of model quality and ensure tests before release.
• Balance quality, reliability and running costs when choosing models.
• Collaborate with consultants and business users to identify AI value.
• Provide technical leadership on AI, including code review and standards.
