Qualifications

• Experience designing AI systems within public sector or government contexts.
• Hands-on coding of production-grade AI components.
• Experience with Responsible AI and safety guardrails.
• Strong experience with data pipelines and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production AI components including RAG pipelines and embedding infrastructure.
• Lead the engineering practice within the squad; set standards and review designs.
• Implement guardrails for Responsible AI, bias checks and evaluation harnesses.
• Ensure secure-by-design deployments with observability and rollback plans.
• Mentor engineers and uplift internal capability.
