Tata Consultancy Services UK&I is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Manchester to design and deliver AI/ML workflows and end-to-end projects. You will work with platforms like Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and Cloud Vision, developing solutions using Python and LangChain within cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with AI/ML frameworks, and a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and statistical modelling.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in Python (with optional experience in R or Java).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and statistical modelling.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end AI/ML projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration experience within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI workflows and high-performing ML models.
• Build solutions using LangChain for agent-based and RAG-driven architectures.
• Optimize and scale AI/ML models for reliability and efficiency.
• Apply prompt-engineering techniques to improve LLM outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay current with AI/ML trends, tooling and best practices.
