We are looking for a Lead AI Developer to join our team and drive innovation in Aviva’s Travel insurance offering. If you are newly qualified in AI or have previous experience in a related role and are excited to deliver on projects, we would love to hear from you!

About the job:
  1. Deploy and monitor AI and GenAI solutions within the Data and Analytics team.
  2. Support the operations team for Aviva’s Travel insurance offering.
  3. Work on Aviva’s overall GenAI Copilot strategy to enable data-driven decisions for efficient and consistent customer outcomes.
  4. Manage team members, support their development, and establish yourself as an expert within the team.
  5. Collaborate with Quantum to share expertise, foster continuous learning, and rapidly re-use best practice ideas.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  1. Proficient in latest GenAI practices like prompt engineering and RAG systems, with awareness of emerging technologies such as Agentic AI.
  2. Skilled in integrating services via Python-based pipelines, including package creation, and developing for user application interfaces.
  3. Knowledgeable in Kubernetes infrastructure, Docker containerization, and deployment through Azure DevOps pipelines.
  4. Understanding of databases and SQL is advantageous.
  5. Experienced or willing to learn Software Development Lifecycle, including configuration management and GIT flow best practices, and capable of translating stakeholder requirements into GenAI solutions.

  • Starting salary £50,000 (National) - £65,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary - Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
