Job summary

Gradient Labs is building an AI customer operations platform for financial services. We seek a lead data scientist to own data-driven outcomes, talk to customers, and optimize our agent performance. You’ll work with real-world data, build robust pipelines, and influence product decisions.

Ideal candidates combine deep data science expertise with a product mindset, strong communication, and the ability to move fast in a startup environment, with a hybrid London/UK remote setup.

Qualifications

• Significant data science experience at lead/staff level.
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Experience in a startup or fast-moving tech environment.
• Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Comfort using AI to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Talk to customers to align on success metrics and use real-world data to derive insights.
• Directly optimize the performance of the agent and its metrics for new customers.
• Own end-to-end optimization flow, translating opportunities into tangible improvements.
• Deeply understand data to form and test hypotheses about bigger patterns.
• Collaborate across teams to identify high-impact opportunities and drive initiatives.
• Turn ad hoc analyses into scalable tools and self-serve dashboards.
