Job summary

The core purpose of this role is to provide a proactive and efficient administrative service for the Oxfordshire Tissue Viability Service, ensuring effective administrative systems and procedures.

You will work alongside a small, friendly team of tissue viability nurses and another administrator.

Main duties of the job

The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the county-wide Tissue Viability Team, including being the first point of contact for referrals and equipment requests, and handling enquiries from patients, relatives, staff, and professionals.

Service hours are 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Job responsibilities

  • Processing equipment requests from various healthcare sectors, managing procurement of bespoke equipment.
  • Handling face-to-face, telephone, and email enquiries from patients, relatives, staff, and professionals, making autonomous decisions to signpost appropriately.
  • Organising and maintaining an effective medical/patient records system, including referral and discharge processes, ensuring high data quality.
  • Managing the team's caseloads, waiting lists, and appointments within electronic health records, including allocation and discharge from caseloads.
