Join us in the Acute Care Division as Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Urgent and Emergency Care at MYTT, where your expertise and sound clinical leadership will directly influence patient outcomes, staff development, and service innovation.

The post holder will be expected to provide visible leadership to our ACP teams across all three sites: Pinderfields Emergency Department, Dewsbury Emergency Department, and Pontefract Urgent Treatment Centre.

Main duties of the job

As the Lead ACP, you will be a clinical and strategic leader within our Urgent and Emergency Care services. Working at the forefront of patient care, you will:

  • Professionally lead the ACPs and Trainee ACPs in emergency and urgent care, supporting their personal development and guiding their roles within their specialties.
  • Provide full line-management responsibilities including induction, appraisal, development, workforce retention, and managing sickness, absence, disciplinary, and performance issues.
  • Lead and support organisational change and wider organisational strategy to ensure efficient service delivery, productivity, and compliance with National Urgent and Emergency Care targets.
  • Contribute to writing and submitting future ACP/advanced practice workforce business plans, supporting current budgets.
  • Implement and lead the standardisation of advanced roles within urgent and emergency care, in line with the Trust's strategic plans.
  • Motivate, inspire, and develop the ACP workforce to achieve excellence, maximise potential, and learn from best practices.
  • Influence governance by developing systems to support professional accountability and assurance within ACP frameworks.
