The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be office-based or fully remote from Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

Join our Finance, Strategy, & Legal team to investigate problems, define solutions, and guide decisions as Personio’s co-pilots.

We seek a highly motivated Lead Accounts Receivable to lead and develop our Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, complete and timely collection of customer receivables, and developing scalable processes for growth.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Lead and develop the accounts receivable team with approximately six direct reports.
  • Ensure excellent daily accounts receivable operations, including revenue recognition, payment reconciliation, and cash collection.
  • Maintain accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements related to accounts receivable.
  • Conduct analyses and generate insights for management, including high-quality reporting.
  • Implement, optimize, automate, and monitor accounts receivable processes and controls.
  • Lead strategic projects relevant to accounts receivable.
  • Serve as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders, such as tax consultants and auditors.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-growing B2B tech, SaaS, or software environment.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation, ideally in German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, with proven experience in revenue recognition and cash collection.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management and analytics, with attention to detail and a holistic approach.
  • Ability to balance detailed work with a broad company-wide perspective.
  • Effective task prioritization skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Fluent in English and preferably German.
