Job description

Lead Accountant (Hybrid) needed in Plymouth, £19.81ph
PAYE – Reference: RQ1554589

Part-time consideration is available.

  1. Provide financial advice: To clients, senior finance colleagues, departmental management teams, and elected members. Ensure advice is timely, accurate, and consistent. (20%)
  2. Resource management: Promote and maintain effective use of financial and other resources within the Division/Department. (10%)
  3. Service planning support: Assist with financial systems development, working practices, training, and user advice. (15%)
  4. Financial stewardship: Ensure effective financial management within partnership arrangements and develop the financial management framework. (10%)
  5. Strategic support: Drive change, support service planning, and maximize external funding. Provide financial analysis and modelling for decision-making. (10%)
  6. Financial services delivery: Deliver statutory finance services, ensure continuous improvement in financial management, reporting, and internal control. (10%)
  7. Contribute to organizational goals: Support departmental and corporate strategies, aiming for service improvements. (10%)
  8. Team development: Supervise and train finance staff, budget holders, and customers for effective management reporting. (10%)
  9. Work prioritization: Ensure work streams are correctly prioritized and resourced. (5%)

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
