Job Opportunity: Lead Academy Age Group Coach

Stoke City Football Club, a Category One status Academy in the English Football League, is seeking a part-time Lead Academy Age Group Coach to support its football operations at Clayton Wood Training Ground and other development centre locations.

Reporting to the Head of Academy Coaching, the coach will play a vital role in supporting and developing young players by planning and delivering weekly programmes aimed at enhancing performance and achieving development goals.

The successful candidate will deliver coaching sessions, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing future talents.

Main Responsibilities

1. Planning, delivering, and evaluating coaching activities.
2. Reviewing and updating the coaching curriculum.
3. Providing performance reports to the Head of Academy Coaching.
4. Attending meetings, workshops, and training courses as required.
5. Developing and evaluating player performance to improve outcomes.
6. Collaborating with Lead Phase Coaches on player progress.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Football background as a player or coach.
• UEFA B coaching qualification, FA Youth Coaching Modules 3, and working towards Advanced Youth Award.
• Knowledge of elite level requirements and EPPP standards.
• Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong planning and communication skills.
• Experience in an Academy setting and managing coaching staff is desirable.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends. It is a permanent part-time position with training provided.
