About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior/Lead Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our team based in Northamptonshire. In this key role, you will take technical ownership of installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. You will also provide leadership and guidance to engineers and ensure the highest standards of service delivery and safety are maintained.Key Responsibilities * Lead and carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning systems (e.g., split, multi-split, VRV/VRF) and refrigeration equipment (e.g., cold rooms, chillers, display cabinets). * Oversee and mentor a small team of junior and intermediate engineers. * Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction. * Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs independently and efficiently. * Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and other relevant health & safety legislation. * Provide technical support, training, and guidance across the engineering team. * Complete and maintain accurate service reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.Requirements * Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) industry. * F-Gas Category 1 Certification (Essential). * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent). * Strong technical knowledge of VRV/VRF systems, split units, chillers, and cold rooms. * Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role. * Full UK driving licence. * Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. * Strong understanding of health and safety and relevant legislation. * Right to work in the UK.Desirable (Not Essential) * PASMA or IPAF Certification. * Experience with BMS or control systems. * Manufacturer training certificates (e.g., Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic). * Knowledge of CO2 or hydrocarbon systems.What We Offer * Competitive salary (based on experience and qualifications) * Fully equipped company van * Overtime available * Pension scheme * Career development and manufacturer training opportunities * Supportive and experienced team environment
